PRESENTATION DESCRIPTION:
The Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 was enacted into law in New York in June 2019. Since its enactment, the law's impact has been felt by landlords and tenants alike. This presentation will cover the major changes of the new law, the impact of the law on property owners, the limitations placed on landlords, and the potential financial impact landlords now face. In addition to reviewing the law, Allen will cover the practical aspects of the law and how small and big landlords are changing their ownership and management practices to limit their risk.
