Everything You Need To Know About ETFs

Join your peers for an evening of networking and CE featuring a program focused on ETFs delivered by Brandon Clark, Legg Mason Managing Director, ETF Product Management, and hosted by Investopedia at the Dotdash offices overlooking Times Square.

After 30 years and $3.7 million in US assets, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) have entered the investment mainstream. For the fifth year in a row, ETFs are all the rage among financial advisers with 88 percent of financial advisers surveyed currently using or recommending ETFs with their clients—the most popular investment vehicle among 22 options, according to the latest annual survey by the Financial Planning Association®, the Journal of Financial Planning, and the FPA Research and Practice Institute™.

Come learn about popular misconceptions, recent SEC changes, current trends, future opportunities, and how you can make ETFs a more vital part of your investment management. Legg Mason's Managing Director Brandon Clark will discuss:

  • Can ETFs unseat mutual funds?
  • Active vs. passive ETFs
  • No Fee ETFs: too good to be true?
  • Portfolio strategies
  • Trading do's and don'ts
  • Volatility: short vs. long term

Food and drinks will be served.
